Book as Archive of Time
This book began as an experiment in capturing the wear and tear of a book, from creation until the last use. By swapping paper with thin aluminum foil, every turn and touch on the page will result in a mark on the material. Hence, the book becomes an active archive of its own time and experience, from its conception up to expiration. This book is void of text. Its pages, the marks contained on the pages and the occasional reflection of the reader and its surrounding are the content.
For this experiment, the book is considered "expired" when more than half its pages have fallen apart.
The following images showed some pages from the aluminum book showing the wear, tear and marks that are left behind.

Haptic Memory
is a book that records the condition of every single spread in the expired book. It also records all the users that has helped in the retirement process of the book. This is both a question and an exercise in the act of documentation. What object is deemed worthy of documentation? When does the physical book become more of an object than a mere container of information?
